Accepted input

The embed manager accepts a full YouTube URL, a direct video ID, or a channel handle.

Invalid input is rejected at save time so broken embeds are not published accidentally.

Saved values are normalized into an embed URL and a watch URL for reliable fallback behavior.

Placement and visibility

Each embed must target a specific placement: product page, course lesson, community post, or gated member page.

Visibility can be public, purchasers only, membership only, or community members only.

For one-time paid live access, set visibility to purchasers only and pick the required product.

For member-gated access, set visibility to membership only and pick the required membership product.

Optionally set start and end time so pages can show upcoming, live, or ended session state.

If an embed is unavailable, pages show a native fallback card with an option to open on YouTube.

Analytics

Live embed views are tracked and grouped by access gate type.

Growth Domains shows a rolling 30-day summary for each configured embed.

Use these counts to compare one-time live access versus membership-only live sessions.

Operational safety

Embed rendering is additive. If no embed is configured, existing page content and checkout flows remain unchanged.

If embed tables are not available in a partial environment, read paths fail safe and return no embeds.

When troubleshooting, disable or delete only the specific embed entries first before broader rollback actions.
